Pierre-Olivier has been working with Axens since 2017, where he successively held the positions of Project Manager in basic engineering projects for refinery and petrochemicals customers, Process Team Manager, and currently Decarbonization & Consulting Project Manager in Axens Horizon.
Prior to joining Axens, Pierre-Olivier has worked for Technip as Process Engineer, Lead Process Engineer, and Field Process Engineer based in South Korea.
Pierre-Olivier graduated Chimie Paris Tech in 2010 and IFP School in 2011.
Leandro LABANCA

Leandro works in Axens as Business Development Manager helping customers to define their pathways for optimization and decarbonization of their sites including existing and new ones. Before, he has been responsible for the design of several Aromatics Complexes by developing different schemes for a wide range of feedstock. He is also in charge of the follow-up and the development of a number of aromatic technologies.
Before joining Axens, Leandro worked firstly for Invensys as an Application Engineer developing dynamic simulations for operator trainings. In 2014, he took the position of Business Development Manager for Process Integration Ltd, a consultancy focused on Energy Efficiency and Process Optimization.
Leandro holds a Master degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Buenos Aires and a MSc in Advanced Process Design for Energy from the University of Manchester.

Cécile Plain joined IFP Energies nouvelles in 1992 as a Process Engineer and Start-up Manager, later moving to Axens in 2001 and Axens Horizon in 2013, where she now serves as Business Development Manager (Decarbonization & Consulting) and Technology Principal Expert. With 30+ years in refining and petrochemicals, she has led all project phases—from R&D and feasibility studies to process design, commissioning, and troubleshooting—while managing international engineering partnerships.
A recognized expert, Cécile has authored patents, published technical papers, and overseen decarbonization initiatives. She also teaches at IFP School and contributes to Axens’ knowledge management. Her credentials include an engineering degree from HEI Lille and a master’s from IFP School in refining/petrochemicals.
