Cecile joined IFP Energies nouvelles in 1992 as Process Engineer and Start-up Manager. She joined
Axens in 2001 and Axens Horizon in 2013:
• 30 years of experience in the petrochemical and refining activities with an international
licensing company, covering all the aspects of a project cycle life from initial concept to process
design management, field commissioning and technical assistance.
• Has managed complex strategic studies, mainly master planning, feasibility studies and fast-
track integrated design phase, integrating various technical expertise while managing reputable
international engineering companies as outsource.
• Management of R&D activities,
• Technical services group leader for industrial units, with onsite activities in pre-commissioning, start-up, follow-up and troubleshooting.
• Technology group leader developing expertise for technical proposal of green & brownfield commercial units for refining technologies involving extensive worldwide travelling.
She is now acting as Business Development Manager for Decarbonization & consulting within the New Development and Transformation Group.
She holds an Engineering Degree from the Hautes Études Industrielles de Lille and a Master's Degree in Refining and Petrochemicals from the Ecole Nationale Superieure du Petrole et des Moteurs.
Jordi Pinent-Armengol

After graduating from ENSIGC-Tarragona (Spain) as chemical engineer, Mr Pinent-Armengol followed IFP School program to specialize in oil refining.
He started his career with Spie Oil & Gas Services in 2004 as process engineer and was involved in Detailed Engineering projects.
He joined the Process Licensing Department of Axens in 2006 and was in charge of the Basic Design of numerous process units in the field of hydrotreatment and reforming. He was assigned Project Manager for several multiple-units large projects such as new Venezuelan Upgrader.
He moved to Axens Horizon as Project Manager in 2013 where he has been in charge of numerous Feasibility studies for new and revamped refining and petrochemical complexes and has managed several Energy Efficiency Audits and Margin Improvements Programs.
Since 2019 he has been appointed Business Development Manager for Axens Horizon focusing on Decarbonization.
