For Axens, this transition has had a direct impact on its licensing and consulting activities, particularly in 2024, which saw a notable increase in project awards. Traditional customers in the refining and petrochemical sectors are now pursuing new objectives: short-term emission reductions through cost-effective measures like energy efficiency, medium-term transitions by repurposing and revamping existing assets to produce low-carbon fuels, and long-term commitments involving the construction of entirely new facilities.
