Natural gases contain variable amounts of H2S and/or CO2 that need to be removed before natural gas can be further processed and transported. The challenge of renewing the resources now brings Oil & Gas operators to look at reservoirs with high content of acid gas or even to reservoirs with ultra sour content, containing more than 40% mole CO2, H2S and sulfur contaminants.
