COS Removal from natural gases by absorption in ALKANOLAMINE solutions

Thumb_TA_COS REMOVAL FROM NATURAL GASES BY ABSORPTION IN ALKANOLAMINE SOLUTIONS_2006_EN

Alkanolamine solutions are widely used to remove CO2 and H2S from natural gas streams. COS, a component frequently found in many sour natural gases can also be eliminated by alkanolamine solutions. Maximizing COS absorption along with the removal of H2S and CO2 is becoming increasingly important in natural gas treatment, in order to reach very low levels of total sulfur, but very few studies have been dedicated to COS-alkanolamines reactions.
