Here is a presentation of Take Kair Project in which EDF, Holcim, IFPEN and Axens have joined forces to participate to the creation of the French e-SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel) industry.
This synthetic fuel, of which Air France KLM would be the first buyer, would be made from the CO2 and Hydrogen produced by electrolyser directly connected to the French Low Carbon Electrical Grid. This project will allow to bring a relevant contribution to SAF European Mandate which are coming in place in the coming years.

With around 50Gt/year of CO2 equivalent emitted globally and the corresponding impact on the environment, reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions is no longer a question but a necessity production and use.
The decarbonization of industries that emit large amounts of CO2, such as cement, steel, incinerators, pulp and paper, biomass boilers, refineries, and chemistry, can be addressed by capturing and converting the CO2 into renewable or low-carbon fuels.
