Refining Petrochemicals Integration

Executive summary

• The project implements a high integration level by combining refining with petrochemicals activities leading to largest paraxylene complex ever built
• It rises the challenge of pushing conversion toward naphtha while processing a refractory crude blend
• The highest conversion is achieved using an innovative combination of mature Bottom-of-the-Barrel technologies including fixed-bed and ebullated-bed hydrocracking technologies (HyK™, H-Oil®, and Solvahl™)
• High-purity Paraxylene (PX) is produced through ParamaX®
