For the sweetening of liquid hydrocarbons Axens offers three catalysts using sulfonated cobalt phthalocyanine as the active material. LCPS 30 is a liquid catalyst with 30% active material used for liquid/liquid reaction to sweeten light hydrocarbons such as LPG, NGL and light naphtha. It is widely used in Axens’ Sulfrex units as well as competitor units.
