An Asian refinery decided to revamp its semi-regenerative reforming unit. Originally designed to process 80,000 tpy (tons per year) of naphtha, its capacity was increased in the mid 90's to process 107,000 tpy.
More recently, the refiner decided to award a Process Design Package to Axens in order to further increase the unit’s capacity by 50% to 160,000 tpy while maintaining the same reformate octane at 100 RON.
