Pressure Drop Management: Improving Reactor Availability

Thumb_Axens_CB_Grading-&-Guard-Materials_1

Cycle length of a hydroprocessing unit is typically controlled either by catalyst activity or by reactor pressure drop.

With the increasing variety and difficulty of feedstocks treated in the refinery, including renewables, there is a need to use state-of-the-art grading and guard materials to mitigate pressure drop and thus maximize the use of the main catalyst and the unit cycle length.
