Dualforming® is a basic engineering design service which affords a significant product upgrading from a conventional fixed-bed catalytic reformer. This is a moderate capital investment option providing both an increase in liquid yield and a major boost in hydrogen yield. Catalyst operating cycles are also increased by up to 100%.
Dualforming® is the ideal solution for a refinery primarily interested in liquid yield and particularly in increasing hydrogen yield. A secondary benefit of Dualforming® is that under the operating condition to achieve the same product Octane number, the catalyst in the fixed-bed reactors do not need to work as hard and are thus last much longer between regenerations.
