Guard beds for chloride removal from process streams

thumb_Axens_CB_AxTRap867

Chlorides cause problems such as equipment corrosion and ammonium chloride salt deposition in valves, compressors, stabilizer columns and fuel gas systems. Chlorides removal is therefore of paramount importance in isomerization and especially reforming units, both fixed bed and CCR Reforming technologies, in order to guarantee product specifications on hydrogen as well as gasoline and protect equipment from corrosion.
